Our client is the leading supplier of waste balers (compactors) in the UK, supplying nationally to a broad range of sectors through their successful dealer network.
Their customers are some of the largest and best known names in industry from retail, leisure, logistics and hotel & catering. With landfill tax increasing and everyone more environmentally conscious their business is growing at a phenomenal rate.
They are now seeking to recruit an additional field sales rep residing in Kent. This is a wonderful opportunity to become part of one of the largest growth industries today. The Key focus will be on new business development and you will be selling to all types and size of company within your territory (basically anyone that needs to dispose of waste such as cardboard, plastic, paper, foil, cans, buckets, foam, pet bottles etc).
Using leads that are coming in from the company’s extensive marketing in addition to cold calling you will be visiting companies on your territory to conduct a site survey to identify waste cost savings (which will be between 50%-80%) with the aim of getting the company to trial a machine. Once this has taken place they will have the option to rent or to buy. With renting costing as little as £20 per week and the average cost of a machine costing £4K-£5K, the return on investment is rapid.
To be considered you will need to be highly motivated with a proven track record of success gained within a competitive new business environment where you will have done extensive cold calling. (Previous experience of selling capital equipment would also be beneficial). Sales trained you will possess good closing skills and be used to cold calling as well as working to appointments. We are looking for confident, results focused individuals eager to earn money and possessing extensive local knowledge.
The rewards are superb and include a basic salary of £12K (with a £500 per month guarantee for the first 3 months) plus a commission of 10% paid on all sales or total value of the rental contracts (this is paid up-front). There is also a 10% over target bonus paid at the end of the year. The 1st year OTE is £30K-£40K and the top achievers are earning in excess of £70K. There are also 20 days holiday, Ford Focus type company car, laptop, mobile + expense account.
